Best One Line Rebuttal?

Spent the afternoon tidying my small office. Found the following handwritten note, no date

Noblehead: “Low carbohydrate diets may damage arteries and increase the risk of heart attacks, scientists have found. Slimming plans like the one created by Dr Robert Atkins are thought to impair the regrowth of blood vessels. Researchers at the Deaconess Medical Centre in Boston found that mice on the low-carb diet [my highlight] had more build-up of hard deposits in arteries.

Timo: “I don't wish to appear reactionary, but I've taken my mouse off of the Atkins diet, just in case.

Those were the days!

mice are a very poor predictor of how diet affects actual humans, from what i gather. they're natural seed-eaters, unlike us, rats are a lot closer (like dogs and pigs), as we're all actually OMNIVORES.

...not to take away from what IS, yes, a great comeback!

Nothing like a link to a good ol' fashioned rodent study from the low carb nay sayers when they are losing the argument eh! :-)

Noblehead his heads here and is arse is following, along with the cherub he loved posting useless mouse studies and citing them as proof that LC diets were dangerous.

One thing I have noticed of late is the increasing numbers of T1 LowCarbers at DCUK, what stands out for me is that phoenix, noblehead et al don't venture into their threads posting rodent studies and warning them of the dangers of LC.
